“North Helpline is proud to host its 9th annual Empty Bowls silent auction fundraiser. All profits raised from the event support the efforts of our Emergency Services and Food Bank to make sure our neighbors have food on the table and a roof overhead.
Select a hand crafted bowl created by local students and artisans. Enjoy live music while savoring a meal of soup, salad, bread, and dessert from local restaurants. Purchase a unique gift for a friend or loved one in our silent auction. All this while helping keep our neighbors in need housed and fed.
It may come as a surprise to some to learn that the impact of the closing of Sam’s Club will have a significant effect on North Helpline and our neighbors in need.
North Helpline Director, Kelly Brown, indicated that the loss of food source and funding from Sam’s Club is the biggest single setback they could have encountered.
