Thanks to All Who Took Part in Spring Clean

2nd Annual LCFF Spring Clean Was a Success

Seventy Two Lake City Community Members came out and braved a threatening Seattle rain on Earth Day to clean up, build community and enjoy some food and refreshments courtesy of Kaffeeklatsch and Elliott Bay Brewery. Participants were also treated to some free “Market Bucks” from our own Molly Burke with the Lake City Farmers Market.

Many people experiencing homelessness as well as families with young children, business owners, NE Seattle Rotary Members,

Value Village employees and a diverse group of neighbors came out to help Lake City get a little spring shine.

Thanks to Value Village Staff for Pitching In

LCFF Board Members, Annie Stocker with Two Dog Yoga and Annette Heide-Jessen with Kaffeeklatsch did a great job organizing with the help of Molly from the Farmers Market and LCFF Board Member, Ray Robinson. A big thank you to Jonathan Neufeld and Lynda Musselman for staffing the station on 33rd Ave. It was really wonderful to see the diversity of Lake City represented in this effort. We heard loud and clear that we need kids size t-shirts – we are on it!

The Spring Clean launches our monthly clean up schedule with our next “Sunday – 1 Hour Clean Up” coming up on May 21st. Mark your  calendars and keep an eye out for details.
