The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) has proposed a housing development at 12705 30th Avenue NE., at the NW corner of 30th NE and NE 127th Street. The proposal is for 70 units of housing plus a four-classroom preschool adjacent to the Civic Core and near the festival street, library, and Community Center. The preschool will be available for Lake City neighborhood children, ages 3 to 5.
The project has been approved by the City of Seattle Design Review Board and is now moving through the Master Use Permit process. Additionally, LIHI has applied for funding from the City of Seattle Office of Housing for review, with approval anticipated in December 2016. They hope to begin construction in June 2017 with completion by September of 2018.
