The recent fires along the Lake City Way corridor have created a lot of questions and real concerns for our businesses and neighbors. We reached out to the Seattle Fire Department for what details they were able to provide.
The new Mexican grocery store Los Plebes de Rancho had their planned opening delayed due to the damage. Their website address is https://tienda-mexicana-los-plebes-de-rancho.negocio.site/. The beloved Thai One On is closed for at least six months for repairs. It is not yet clear if Thai One On plans to return. The fire at Dog Resort was due to a dryer fire and we extend a huge thanks to all the Lake Cityzens and local businesses that helped to ensure that all the pooches were safe and accounted for.

Info gathered by ELC – The vacant building at 14001 Lake City Way NE had a master use permit two years ago but there was not visible signs of moving forward at the time of the fire. The permit describes a seven story apartment building with 41 underground parking stalls and a little over 70 sq. ft. of commercial space. We will be working to see if the building is still planning to move forward.
