Great Evening on 125th and LCW

Art and Music Take Center Stage in the Heart of Lake City

It was a fun site to behold at 125th and Lake City Way on Wednesday night (July 31st). A great crowd gathered to enjoy the dance and costumes of Panama Folklore Seattle and enjoy free “music note cookies” from Kaffeeklatsch. Build Lake City’s partnership with One Reel saw the first day of the “Piano in the Park” which will run from August 1st until the 18th. During that time we will have four live scheduled performances and the piano is open daily for anyone who wishes to take a minute and dazzle the keys. While just across the street in front of the Chase bank building, artist Stephanie Morales, began work on one of the electrical boxes that will be decorated in the neighborhood. BLCT in partnership with the Lake City Mural Project received funds to paint five electrical boxes here in Lake City. Keep a look out for the electrical boxes, schedule of piano performances and don’t miss the last two Mini Park concerts on August 7th and 14th.

Enjoy Lake City!
