The North Seattle Family Resource Center in partnership with LCFF saw a big uptick in local business participation for the 25th Annual “Lake City Fright Night and Trick-or-Treat Walk”. Over 30 business took part this year but the big surprise was the over 700 kids and parents that came out for the event to fill Lake City way with little princesses, pirates, witches, super heroes and beyond. It was amazing to see so much participation and to watch as the Lake City Mini Park became abuzz with families from all over the neighborhood. The Lake City Lions did another amazing job of transforming the community center into a fun filled party with pizza and treats and lots to look at.

On Sunday, October 29th the fun continues with the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Palooza at the Kaffeeklatsch. LCFF again teamed up with Kaffeeklatsch, the LC Farmers Market, Hunger Intervention, North Helpline and the Watershed to bring back this fun event where we provide healthy snacks and pumpkin decorating for the kids.

25th Annual Trick or Treat Walk in LC

Over 700 Little Ghouls, Superheroes, Princesses & Pirates Descend Upon Lake City

Over 30 Lake City Businesses took part in the 25th Annual Trick-or-Treat Walk sponsored by the North Seattle Family Resource Center and LCFF. It was amazing to see LCW crowded with families on a gorgeous October evening. The turn out was more than we could have ever expected and was a sight to behold. Families had the opportunity to end the evening with the Lake City Lions at the LC Community Center for their annual “Fright Night Festivities” and some treats.

LCFF followed up the event on Sunday at the Kaffeeklatsch with partners; Hunger Intervention, EBB, Lake City Farmers Market, North Helpline and the Watershed Pub to hold the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Palooza. Volunteers from the businesses and organizations came together the night before to clean and prep over 100 pumpkins for the event. There was live music, healthy “Halloween themed” snacks, prizes and lots of creative pumpkin decorating going on. Big thanks to Annette and Brian from the Kaffeeklatsch, Chris with LCFF and Chuck Dickey from the Lake City Lions for procuring the pumpkins for this event and for kids at the North Seattle Family Resource Center. Don’t miss the event next year!

Passports will be available at the Kaffeeklatsch as well as other of the participating businesses. You can always pick one up at the Lake City Farmers Market and they will be made available at various public events throughout the program.

Please take part in this program to support some of our most treasured Lake City Businesses. You can partner with friends, family and neighbors to qualify for the drawing on whatever level is comfortable. We are hopeful that this  program helps to  demonstrate our community’s ability to support our local small businesses.

We are hopeful that you find a new favorite spot and have fun visiting the ones you already have come to love. These businesses provide Lake City with its “flavor” and it is up to us as a community to help keep them here.

We have three levels of prizes indicated on the passport so that more people can take part in the fun. Winners will be chosen at random and one winner from each of the three tiers of prizes will be awarded. Winners will be contacted via the contact information on the passport within 30 days of the closing of the program.

The First 20 participants to turn in a passport with 7 or more stamps will automatically receive a $10 Gift Card to the Farmers Market
