Piano From Mini Park Finds Forever Home

Coyote North to House Lake City’s Piano

Build Lake City Together (BLCT) had the wonderful opportunity through OneReel to host a piano in our Lake City Mini Park for part of August. While the piano needed to be removed a bit early due to some vandalism we are happy to say that the beautifully decorated piano by Lake City artist, Lynn DeBeal, is in fine working order. BLCT has donated the piano to our new neighbors, Coyote North. Coyote North will be located on the west side of Lake City Way at 123rd and 30th. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to the neighborhood.

“Coyote North is honored to provide a new home for Lake City artist Lynn deBeal’s piano, and would like to thank Build Lake City Together for its donation. Lynn is one of five artists who were able to use Coyote’s space to transform pianos for Pianos in the Park — just the first of countless ways that Coyote North will be a resource for Lake City. We’re hoping to launch Coyote North programs in early 2020, and will look forward to putting the piano to good use at art exhibits, concerts, and other community events for years to come.”  From Claudia Stella, Executive Director of Coyote Central
